Post Match Press Conference: Palermo 2-2 AC Milan

The following is part of what Mr. Allegri had to say after the 2-2 draw against Palermo.
I’m satisfied after the second half that we played where we even had the chance to win the game. The players did well to believe in themselves, to come back into the game and they played a great second half. In the first half we played badly, worse than we did against Lazio, but we’re playing every three days. I didn’t guess the line-up for the first half, but games last 95’ and you also have to think about the changes that you’ll have to make during the game. Emanuelson, El Shaarawy and Boateng can all play out wide. I made changes to the team because I wanted to give a rest to some players as playing every three days is not easy. Maybe we haven’t really worked out the three man midfield as we’ve tried it only the one time. It’s the first time that the team comes back from behind and that’s an important thing. The games have to be played for 95’ and I can’t burn out El Shaarawy who is playing every three days and this evening played with a cold. I can’t burn out Emanuelson. I’m not a madman, I gave a rest to those players who have been ever present. The objective is get a run of results together too get up the league table. We could have 3 or 4 points more than we do for what the team have done so far. I’m not saying we didn’t deserve to lose points, but we could certainly have more than we have now”.
