Flying Donkeys has been shot down:

AC Milan hosted Chievo in San Siro for round number 12 in Serie A 2011/2012 season. It was a special night as no player of the seniors was available in starting eleven, and Allegri had to choose a new captain for the team. After discussing it with Galliani, Allegri chose to hand Thiago Silva the arm band.

The first half started in very fast movements for Milan, trying to secure the lead in first minutes. Milan took the lead after only 8 minutes through a long range precise shot from il Capitano Thiago Silva, assisted by Boateng. This goal was followed by a great celebration dance performed by Silva and Pato.

Players never rested after scoring the opener, and kept high pressure in midfield. Van Bommel was superb. Milan doubled the score at 16′ through Ibrahimovic’s incredible goal from outside the penalty box, shooting the ball over 3 defenders, and beyond the keeper. The score line is AC Milan 2-0 Chievo.
